Manistee Nat’l Forest Festival: Reflection

To sum up this past weekend, all I can say is “wow!”  Live painting around town during the Forest Festival/4th of July weekend has been an absolutely incredible, educational and inspiring experience! Thank you so much to everyone who came out and supported all of the local arts and festivities!!

Words can’t really do this whole experience justice, so I’ve posted some photos from the past few days to help. I must say, though, there have been three major events that really stuck out to me.

First there was all of the children I met on River Street during my painting sessions in Goody’s and outside of Surroundings. About 5 different children ranging from ages 4-7 came up and watched me paint with awe. A few of them begged their mothers to stop and watch and told both their moms and me how they wanted to be an artist, too! It was such a humbling experience to see the light in these childrens’ eyes and knowing my work was inspiring them. I gave them all some cards with “Finding Peace Amidst the Chaos” in the hopes that our meeting will continue to inspire them to explore their creativity.

Second was my kismet meeting with a lovely holistic and artistic couple from Grand Rapids who drifted into Manistee by chance on their way to the Traverse City cherry festival. The woman, Amanda,  is a professional henna artist and her partner Michael is a holistic chiropractor. She tattooed my arm and I showed them around town and introduced them to a lot of people interested in purchasing tattoo art from her. We bonded so strongly and quickly, and they ended up staying the night at my house and we spent the next day together. We’re working on some future collaborations, and they’ll be back up here at the end of the month to host some healing workshops with Iron Works Cafe and myself.  The best part is that it all started by me saying “hey, I love your skirt!” and Michael responding with “nice paisley vest.”

Third was live painting on stage with Cole Black, a Manistee local DJ, for the very first pre-fireworks party on 1st Street Beach. While I’ve painted at festivals, there was something so awesome about being up on a stage that I experienced a really powerful “aha” moment, and I realized that I am a professional live painter!  Plus, Cole is really an amazing person and I enjoyed working with him and building up our collaborative relationship with this event.

Thank you so much to everyone who came up to Manistee, came out to our events and supported our town and local arts! I hope to see more people wandering through town, and I seriously hope add to their love and inspiration from Manistee.

Pictures of the whole weekend are up on my Facebook page

2016 goals, works, ideas and such..

My goal for 2016 is to complete at least 1 piece of visionary artwork each month. For January’s project I am focusing on finishing this piece (working title: “The Water Spirit I see in Meditation”), which is a representation of a spirit I often see in my meditations. She exudes a very serene, aquatic sense of wholeness and acceptance, and I am working to manifest her energy onto canvas so that others may feel her comforting presence 💜

Thank you for reading and supporting my work! Love and Light to you all 🕉

New Poster: The Cosmic Puppeteer

Hey, everyone! I know know my updates have been lacking, and I’m sorry about that. I’m admittedly still finding the balance with all this social media stuff, hah!

Anyways, I have a new poster up and I’m very excited about it.  The title is “The Cosmic Puppeteer” and it is a visual representation of the divine strings that connect each one of our consciousnesses to the Source of all creation.

I’m currently processing 20 gloss  prints and selling  them at $30+ shipping on Etsy! You can click here to check it out.

Other than that, I’ve got a 15x30in purgatory piece coming soon as part of a new collection I’m working on (working title: Death, The Journey, Rebirth), and as soon as I can afford to I’ll be making prints of those for Etsy as well, and in the meantime I have a multitude of oil paint and watercolor original pieces to finish!

That’s all for now! I wish you all well in this land of Love & Light!

Starting September off with Some Site Updates!

How’s that title for alliteration, eh?!

Anyways, good evening and happy September, everyone! I really do love this month, as it signifies the coming of the Autumnal Equinox (my favorite season!). While I’d love to spend this whole post gushing over Autumn, I’ve actually got some updates both great and sad to share. So, here we go!

We’ll start with the sad news first – due to some personal conflicts, I wasn’t able to host my mandala color meditation workshop at the 3 Days of Light & Gathering Transformation Festival in Asheville this weekend, and I won’t be able to perform live painting at Dancefestopia in Kansas City next week. I ended up helping a dear friend out of a sticky situation, but the endeavor has rendered me financially incapable of travel for a few months. The mandalas are still online which you can download here, and more will be added in due time!

The exciting news is that I’ve finally set up an official Etsy shop! I’ll be putting all of my traditional paintings and pyrography pieces up within the next few days, and the digital works will follow suit. I’ll continue post links as works get listed, but in the meantime you can check out my 8x10in painting “Birds of Paradise” which is already listed here!

All of my digital art that’s on here will eventually be listed, as soon as I find an affordable and reliable printing service to use (if you have any suggestions, please hit me up).

That’s really all for now, folks! Thanks again for reading and checking out my work. Love and light to you all!

Updates! New Art! Travel!

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Just an update- I have a few new pieces up which you can check out here.

This Thursday I leave Los Angeles to spend a few months out on the road. I’m taking my Mandala Color Meditation project to the 3 Days of Light and Gathering Festival in Asheville, NC followed by some live painting at Dancefestopia in Kansas City, MO. After that I’m thinking Denver for a bit, but I’m going to put some intention into getting prints made of all my digital work and linking them up to the site! Lots of progress to look forward to on this next phase of my artistic journey.

That’s all for now, folks! Enjoy your week ~

Love & Light
