Hey friends, family and fans!
THE 4TH ANNUAL VENUS RISING: ALL WOMEN’S ART EXPO IS TOMORROW EVENING!!!
For those who don’t know- Venus Rising is an all women’s art expo that not only is dedicated to celebrating female artists of all mediums, but is also a fundraiser for Alternatives for Girls- a NPO dedicated to helping homeless and high-risk teen and young adult girls heal from and avoid violence, teen pregnancy and exploitation. 25% of all event proceeds will go to this NPO including: entry fee, art sales and donations.
My painting “Finding Peace Amidst the Chaos” will be hanging in the gallery and for sale at the event, so if you’re interested in having an original EmJae LIGHTningbug piece in your home I suggest coming tomorrow! Also, I will be live painting from 7-9PM, but the creativity will be going until 11PM, so come on by and show your support to me and my fellow femme artists!!! I hope to see you there!
The event is located at the Tangent Gallery in Detroit, MI. Doors will open at 7PM.
Other updates: I will be painting at the Desert Hearts Spring Music Festival 2016 at Los Coyotes Indian Reservation, CA from April 1-4! Tier 4 tickets are available here, but you better jump on it, as tickets are selling quickly!! The Rez is located between L.A. and San Diego, slightly favoring the San Diego side.
After the festival I will be painting at Venice Beach, CA from April 5-7 before heading back to the East Coast! More info including times and specs will be posted as we near the date.
I sincerely hope to see you at any or all of these events! As always, thank you so much for your love and support. My work is for you to enjoy (:

I will also be live painting at the event from 7-9pm, and I’ll be working on my painting “Twin Flame,” so come say hi!!
Love and Light to you all 💗
Exciting news, everyone- I have been accepted to be a featured artist at Desert Hearts 2016 at Los Coyotes Indian Reservation, CA! The festival is April 1-4, please visit their website for lineup and ticketing info.
I’m not sure which paintings I’ll be bringing, but I have quite a few in the early stages that might make their first appearance here 😉
I hope to see you all at DH 2016!
Love & Light,
I’ve been hard at work pushing my artistic expression to its limits both conceptually and technically; while the road is long and filled with ups and downs, I find these challenges very rewarding to my spirit. I figured I’d show you all some pictures of the works in progress, as they aren’t quite finished yet [;
This one is very close to being finish. I’m hoping that 2-3 more sessions should do the trick~
“Aquatic Meditation Vibes” 16inx20in oil on canvas (unfinished)
This one still has a little ways longer to go, but it has been coming along wonderfully, and I’m so excited to see where it goes next!

It’s also been a busy month of applying to music festivals, making some local connections here in NW Michigan and exploring crystal healing work, astrology and garden witchcraft on a deeper level this winter. Tis the season for transformation and reflection, after all, and I am definitely loving the fruits of embracing the winter archetype!
Oh, and my love and I have become engaged as of January 20! That’s a bit of life news that’s worth updating, eh?! We set our wedding date for June 16, 2018 which allows us to take our time with planning so that our lives don’t become completely wedding-consumed and we can savor our engagement.
My goal for 2016 is to complete at least 1 piece of visionary artwork each month. For January’s project I am focusing on finishing this piece (working title: “The Water Spirit I see in Meditation”), which is a representation of a spirit I often see in my meditations. She exudes a very serene, aquatic sense of wholeness and acceptance, and I am working to manifest her energy onto canvas so that others may feel her comforting presence 💜
Hey, everyone! I know know my updates have been lacking, and I’m sorry about that. I’m admittedly still finding the balance with all this social media stuff, hah!
Anyways, I have a new poster up and I’m very excited about it. The title is “The Cosmic Puppeteer” and it is a visual representation of the divine strings that connect each one of our consciousnesses to the Source of all creation.
I’m currently processing 20 gloss prints and selling them at $30+ shipping on Etsy! You can click here to check it out.
Other than that, I’ve got a 15x30in purgatory piece coming soon as part of a new collection I’m working on (working title: Death, The Journey, Rebirth), and as soon as I can afford to I’ll be making prints of those for Etsy as well, and in the meantime I have a multitude of oil paint and watercolor original pieces to finish!
That’s all for now! I wish you all well in this land of Love & Light!
How’s that title for alliteration, eh?!
Anyways, good evening and happy September, everyone! I really do love this month, as it signifies the coming of the Autumnal Equinox (my favorite season!). While I’d love to spend this whole post gushing over Autumn, I’ve actually got some updates both great and sad to share. So, here we go!
We’ll start with the sad news first – due to some personal conflicts, I wasn’t able to host my mandala color meditation workshop at the 3 Days of Light & Gathering Transformation Festival in Asheville this weekend, and I won’t be able to perform live painting at Dancefestopia in Kansas City next week. I ended up helping a dear friend out of a sticky situation, but the endeavor has rendered me financially incapable of travel for a few months. The mandalas are still online which you can download here, and more will be added in due time!
The exciting news is that I’ve finally set up an official Etsy shop! I’ll be putting all of my traditional paintings and pyrography pieces up within the next few days, and the digital works will follow suit. I’ll continue post links as works get listed, but in the meantime you can check out my 8x10in painting “Birds of Paradise” which is already listed here!
All of my digital art that’s on here will eventually be listed, as soon as I find an affordable and reliable printing service to use (if you have any suggestions, please hit me up).
That’s really all for now, folks! Thanks again for reading and checking out my work. Love and light to you all!
Happy Sunday, everyone!
Just an update- I have a few new pieces up which you can check out here.
This Thursday I leave Los Angeles to spend a few months out on the road. I’m taking my Mandala Color Meditation project to the 3 Days of Light and Gathering Festival in Asheville, NC followed by some live painting at Dancefestopia in Kansas City, MO. After that I’m thinking Denver for a bit, but I’m going to put some intention into getting prints made of all my digital work and linking them up to the site! Lots of progress to look forward to on this next phase of my artistic journey.
That’s all for now, folks! Enjoy your week ~
